James continued his education at Rice University in Houston on a full varsity track scholarship, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in political science. Following his graduation from law school, James worked as an associate attorney in the Washington DC law firm Van Ness Feldman, where he focused his practice on energy and natural resource issues. James went on to practice oil and gas and corporate law in the Houston office of Thomson & Knight LLP. He later held legal roles in the Dallas headquarters of Atmos Energy Corporation and in the Houston headquarters of Kinder Morgan Inc.
James is a passionate advocate for working people and their families, especially the working poor, elderly, disabled and underserved people for whom few speak. As candidate for state representative for District 22, Price is dedicated to helping Southeast Texas families gain the same opportunities he had to fulfill their dreams. His top priorities are saving Texas public education and raising teacher pay, creating an economy that produces a shared prosperity and offering the people a genuine, informed choice of representation and leadership.
